Inspired by the 17th century and driven by the desire to give the Delft Blue that Royal Delft has created since the 17th century a contemporary look & feel, Royal Delft presents: Proud Mary. Proud Mary is composed of four seperate elements, the skirt, body, the collar and the head. These larger Mary’s are handpainted by craftsmen at Royal Delft. Proud Mary Astonia is inpsired by a 17th century vase from the Rijksmuseum, once made by the factory ‘De Drie Posteleyne Astonne’
